Quality Matters Consulting helps companies across the conservation, hospitality, tourism and travel sector to identify areas where their standards can be improved and then to identify solutions on how to achieve it. We also specialize in handling brand transitions, brand makeover and new brand strategies, website planning, marketing growth. We deal with digital marketing, social medias, campaigns and the creation of marketing collateral material.
We look into customers’ experiences on the ground, customers experiences before and during the reservations process and post-sale. We create and implement systems useful to make guests feel understood and looked after. We create ideas on how to ensure that guests have a life-enriching if not a life-changing experience. We also love to get involved in refurbishments, sourcing of soft and hard décor, food and beverage planning, menus creation, mystery-shops.

Behind Quality Matters there is a small but effective team who have bene working together for the last 20 years in Kenya with a successful track record. The team was launched by Riccardo Orizio, reporter, author, safari guide and conservationist. As a foreign correspondent, in his “first life” Riccardo has covered war, peace and some of what happens in between. His non-fiction books have been published in 8 languages. In 2003 he moved to Kenya to live surrounded by wildlife and dramatic landscapes. For the next 20 years he owned and managed four deluxe safari camps that work together with indigenous pastoralist communities. He is now in his “third life” as a consultant, but also as a writer and olive farmer.
